The Violet Bolt of Lightning and the Bulb. The bolt of lightning not only represents the field of study, but also stands as a symbol of sudden illumination and the destruction of ignorance which portrays both the bulb and its color (violet) as a symbol of wisdom and creativity.

The Battery and the Resistor symbol. The electrical symbols which are in the logo are used respectively: the battery symbol represents the organization as a power source for its purpose of being an exemplar or motivator for being a responsible and disciplined individual; the resistor symbol as its function for division or relaying of information as well as its objective of instilling fairness in all its actions.

The Green Gear and the Star. The gear represents progress, work and innovation. The cog helps interlocked with other geared components, to interact and advance the mechanism. The Shape of the Gear also presents the symbol “Omega”, not only as a symbol of unit of measurement for electrical resistance, but also the representation of the beginning of a new cycle – the organization will always look further in the development of its service aligned with its color that depicts the value of safety and growth for the future endeavors of the organization, while the five-pointed star stands for quintessence of wisdom the University of Makati can bestow.
